My hopes versus my ability.

OK. I am committed to blogging more often than I have in the recent past. I have so many projects I am progressing forward. I love every moment. This is very exciting. But, honestly, I don’t have the ability to work as quickly as I used to. I have a video in process related to the Gather your Sew-plies sew-along but I am unable to complete it. I can’t complain, because I am going to be dress shopping in Paris soon.

GyS!!Basted

What I plan to do is ‘sew as I go’, with my Gather your Sew-plies purses in Paris. I will be working a series I am now calling, 1 in 8. I am going to Wordless Post, if you understand my meaning. Photos only. No words. But sewing, every step of the way. Embroidering.

Please join me.

This will be fun.

And in the meantime, keep coming back. I will speak with you through the comment function here on the blog. Check back. I am ready to be more present in our artistic community.

Hi!! It has taken a while!

You should see!

Blogging? I forgot how to use the software!! LOL.

So. It is a welcomed but creaky start.

Talk about chemobrain!!

In the meantime, watch this video featuring Gail Chovan:

One of my favourite mantras that helps my frustrations with slow projects, which seems to be my usual mode, is “All I can do is all I can do, and all I can do is enough”. So I say to you Melanie “All you are doing is enough”. I, for one, am more than happy with the pace. In fact I’ve had the magazine in hand for several days and have yet to choose my fabrics. 🙂

Bonnie, I think both you and Jeannie are right. I am slowing down and learning to appreciate my new speed and ability. I am doing enough. And all is well.

Wow! I want to meet Gail Chovan! I want her to dress me. To teach me. To absorb her positive energy and spread it around. What an amazing woman! Thanks for sharing the video. I am so excited about your trip. I can’t wait for the trip reports. What amazing graffiti is going to inspire you on this trip? Go to the markets, explore, create new memories with your man, live LARGE!!! Perhaps chemo brain is teaching you to slow down? To enjoy the senses we so often forget. I will be stitching along. Fabric is selected, threads are ready, and my favortie chair has a kitty in it just waiting for me. I love you, Melly Mels!!!

Jeannie, Gail comment on my Facebook feed after I posted the video and I got really excited. 🙂 Stars in my eyes. I want her to dress me too, after making cloth printed with my imagery, or course.
